Becoming a mother changed everything — my routines, my priorities, even the way I experienced time. What I didn’t expect was how much yoga would change with me. It’s no longer about long, uninterrupted practices or perfect alignment; it’s about presence. It’s about the breath that reminds me I’m here, doing my best, moment by moment.
When I first began practicing prenatal yoga, it became so much more than movement. Each inhale and exhale was an anchor — a way to connect with my baby, to calm my nervous system, and to find steadiness amidst all the unknowns. That same connection carried into my postnatal journey, when my world felt both beautifully full and completely unrecognizable. Some days the breath was my only practice. And that was enough.
In motherhood, yoga has taught me to meet myself where I am — tired, tender, joyful, or overwhelmed. It’s given me permission to slow down, to soften, and to remember that the same breath that grounds me also fuels me.
I often say that the breath connection is life-changing — and I mean that quite literally. It’s the bridge between the chaos of the mind and the wisdom of the body. It’s how I find my way back, again and again.
Whether you’re an expecting mother, newly postpartum, or years into your parenting journey, yoga offers a space to reconnect — with yourself, your breath, and your own inner strength.
Come feel the power of your breath… Close your eyes and just breathe deeply, acknowledging where you are feeling in this moment.
Take more mindful breaths in your day.
