My relationship with yoga began about 10 years ago as a way to strengthen my body and mind for athletic endeavours. After a few years of practicing with a focus on simply having a challenging physical workout, I began to open up to the depths of what yoga was really here to teach me – how to come back to safety within my body, the tools of breath-work and awareness, observing internal dialogue and stories, softening into discomfort, removing attachment from expectations, and soothing the nervous system.
As a recent graduate of White Pine Yoga’s 200 hr YTT and 40 hr Language & Sequencing programs I take care to lead classes that offer space for introspection and thoughtfully sync up the body and breath to connect and ground back into the home within yourself.
Beyond the studio I love outdoor adventure and lead empowering experiences in nature, connecting people to waterways as a paddle-boarding instructor and expedition guide.
